**Lab Re-Location Update **

Some information regarding the current progress of the laboratory re-location.

As many of you are aware the lab relocation from Conwy to Ellesmere Port to merge both OCM labs into a purpose-built state of the art laboratory took place over the weekend.

The move of the equipment has gone to plan and most of it is now in its new home.  There was a delay in the planned electrical upgrade to the site.  This was due to take place Monday Morning (22/04/24), however this upgrade took longer than predicted and the impact is the site was without power all day.  Consequently, a bulk of the instruments could not be tested on Monday so the lab won’t be operational until Wednesday at the earliest.

In short, the move is going well, and we have a team here keen to get into the new lab to start processing samples again.  The focus will be to clear overdue samples as a priority before processing new samples.
